Traditional Hand-Forged Ironwork
We can produce, and re-produce, articles in the classical wrought ironwork styles  from candelabras to curtain poles.Typical specialist commissions are :Fireside furniture, door and window furniture including heritage window frames for listed buildings and restoration.
We often work closely alongside other craftspeople to contribute to their projects. Examples are : hinges and furniture for oak doors for a Joiner, cart and waggon fittings for a Wheelwright, and window frames and window furniture for a stained glass specialist.
A traditionally made piece of "wrought ironwork" will be made, or wrought, using standard techniques that have been the only way of working hot iron for many thousands of years. These techniques can be applied to mild steel but pieces made in this way are still refered to as "wrought ironwork". Although we now have modern methods such as welding, plasma and laser cutting and computerised machining, a traditionally made and constructed piece of Ironwork will have the signature look and feel that no modern methods can realistically and accurately replicate.
